Miyama is best known in the Kansai region for its famous Thatched Roof Village, "Kayabuki no Sato". But Miyama has so much more to offer than this iconic destination.

This blog was created to help visitors discover and enjoy the many hidden sides of Miyama beyond the Thatched Roof Village.

Through the unique perspective of a foreigner living in the area, I share the small stories, local culture, and everyday moments that make Miyama truly special. My hope is that this blog will help you uncover the deeper charm of Miyama.

Crystal clear rivers run through the mountains.
